Landscape Horticulture Foreman

Landscaping company in Saint Clair Shores, Michigan is looking for an experienced Horticulture Foreman. You will lead a team performing residential estate management. You will also play an important role in the snow and ice management department during the winter. 

Responsibilities 
  • Accomplish Horticulture related tasks (shrub trimming, pruning, bed cultivation, edging, installation and care of annuals, perennials, and roses).
  • Operate appropriate machinery (hedge trimmers, blowers, etc.) as needed on job sites
  • Engage with clients to explain services being performed and to get feedback on additional services needed
  • Meet or exceed productivity goals set by the company
  • Accurately input all job-related data into the company's app
  • Continually participate in training programs that relate to your field
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
  • Remain committed to a professional working environment
  • Remain dedicated to constant improvement for yourself and the company
Requirements
  • Proven experience of 2+ years in the ornamental horticulture field as a crew leader
  • Able to work from a ladder up to 16' high and an aerial lift up to 40' high
  • Have basic plaint identification skills
  • Have basic insect and disease identification ability
  • Outstanding communication skills both written and verbal
  • Competitive nature and a drive to excel
  • Proficient with common computer software programs and a willingness to learn industry specific software
  • Chauffer's license (or ability to obtain)
  • Well organized with an understanding of the importance of punctuality and attendance
  • Requires prolonged standing or walking, and extended periods of bending, stooping, digging, and lifting
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Interested in working with a fast paced "leaders to the front" company
Compensation & Benefits
  • Hourly $20-28 based on experience
